We’ve Released the Accompanying Program!

This year, the festival offers more than just performances on stage — you can look forward to a thematic workshop, discussions, smaller accompanying shows, and a ceremonial announcement of the literary competition winners, which will include a staged reading.

The Star of the Accompanying Program: Barry Purves!

Barry Purves is a prominent figure in the world of theatre and animation. Over the course of his more than 45-year career, he has directed over 60 theatre productions. He has also gained international acclaim as a stop-motion animator, known for his original films as well as collaborations on major titles such as Mars Attacks! and King Kong.

At the Festival of Joy, Barry will take part in three interconnected sessions, where he will share his passion for art, illusion, and theatre.
